Liverpool fans react as Gini Wijnaldum reportedly eyed by Jose Mourinho
Liverpool midfielder Gini Wijnaldum could reportedly be on his way to Italy to team up with new Roma manager Jose Mourinho this summer, with the ex-Tottenham gaffer keen on the Dutchman – and Reds fans have responded on Twitter.
Wijnaldum, 30, remains out of contract in June and with the 73-time international having entered the final two months of his current Liverpool deal – the chances are that he will leave Anfield on June 30. It is claimed he has five offers on the table.
Indeed, Italian newspaper Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Chelsea and now Mourinho’s Roma have all made offers to sign the ex-Newcastle United man on a free transfer this summer.
It is claimed that Wijnaldum’s wage demands of a three-year deal worth more than £66,000 a week are said to be putting suitors off, though. Roma, also, finished in a lowly seventh this season and are far behind the four other interested parties.
Liverpool fans reacted to the news that Wijnaldum had emerged as an option for Mourinho among others and many are now keen to see the back of the Dutchman – who has seemingly decided against renewing his Liverpool deal and would rather go.
Bye…enjoy watching him spin in circles and pass the ball backwards while offering zero going forward.
In 5 games he will become a cup player when a manager without blind loyalty has him

It's time to move him on. There are better midfielders in the club already, in my opinion.
Always thankful to him for his commitment, passion, work rate and of course the important goals for the club👍— kazoorice (@wearewinnin)

To be fair he should demand what he can. It’s his last big contract so good luck to him. If someone is willing to pay him he’s right

Reliability of the source aside, Gini is the kind of player Mourinho would love in his side.
Durable, versatile, reliable & can do it all in midfield – perfect for Mou.— Saketh Ayyagari (@Sakethscribbles)
