Liverpool fans react as Divock Origi linked with a return to his home country
Divock Origi could reportedly return to Belgium and join Club Brugge on loan in order to boost his chances of breaking into Roberto Martinez’s squad for Euro 2020 next summer – and Liverpool supporters have responded on Twitter.
Origi has now been on the books at Liverpool for six years since joining the Merseyside outfit from Lille in 2014, and has since clocked up 143 appearances. Of those 143, Origi has been handed just 59 starts – completing 90 minutes only 22 times.
The former Wolfsburg loanee has only been used three times this season, scoring once against Lincoln. The signing of Diogo Jota, who has netted goals against Arsenal, Sheffield United and FC Midtjylland, has pushed Origi down the pecking order.

that Origi could return to his home country in order to get the specific game time at Club Brugge – and convince Martinez that he deserves to be in a Euro 2020 squad as back-up to Romelu Lukaku.
At Brugge, there is no doubt that Origi would start and perhaps, he would even be the Belgian side’s best player. It would give him the platform to shine, and the game time to show Martinez that he can continue to prove effective for Belgium.
Liverpool fans have reacted to the reported news that Origi could leave the club on loan in January and return to his home country to show Martinez what he can do – and many feel such a move would be beneficial for Origi.
If true and if it happens it’ll be a good move for Divock.
