Liverpool fans react as club reportedly interested in signing Thomas Meunier
Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier this summer as the defender looks set to see his contract expire in June – and Reds fans have responded on Twitter.
Meunier, 28, is set to see his contract end in just over a month’s time and with the French campaign already being suspended until September – the Belgian will already be looking to his future, which is now unlikely to be at PSG.
The 40-time Belgium international has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League in recent windows, and French newspaper Jose Mourinho wants him at Tottenham – though he is yet to convince Daniel Levy.

Now, Liverpool are also interested in the former Club Brugge defender – and have opened talks with the player’s representatives over a move. Borussia Dortmund and Napoli are also interested.
Liverpool boast one of the world’s best right-backs in Trent Alexander-Arnold, but in terms of back-up, they obly have youngster Neco Williams and veteran James Milner – who of course, is naturally a midfielder.
Liverpool could do with more experienced cover for Alexander-Arnold any many have urged Jurgen Klopp to complete a move for the freebie – nudging Tottenham aside for the right-sided flyer, who has scored 13 and created 21 goals in 128 PSG games.

I like Neco but squads stay on top with moves like this. No disrespect at all to him but I just feel like you bring Meunier in he elevates the squad. We need fullback cover over anything else. Maybe get a few games with Trent in the midfield 😍

He’s top class imo but we’ve got a best RB there is and Neco Williams looks like he’ll save us lots of money

In the current climate a signing like this makes perfect sense, lower signon free than a transfer fee and slightly higher wages to consolidate when we are in a better place. Not you normal FSG signing but I think there will be alot of frees/loans/cheaper sales to try balance books
