Liverpool fans rave about magical second-half moment from attacking star in win over AC Milan

Liverpool finally secured all three points in Wednesday night’s clash against Milan – and fans are amazed by one moment of genius from Divock Origi.

In a reunion of the two sides that played out the memorable Champions League final in Istanbul in 2005, the game was once again, topsy-turvy.

Liverpool took the lead as Trent Alexander-Arnold netted via a deflection. But, out of nowhere, Milan came back to lead 2-1 at the break.

Ante Rebic got the first, finishing superbly, before Brahim Diaz slid the ball over the line as Milan scored twice in quick succession.

But Mo Salah was on hand to poke the ball past Mike Maignan before the best goal of the night came from Liverpool’s captain.

In true Steven Gerrard fashion, Jordan Henderson lashed home an effort on the half volley from the edge of the area. It flew past Maignan, to win 3-2.

A brilliant win, especially given the surprise at the starting line-up. One of those surprise inclusions was £60,000k-a-week () Origi.

A piece of absolute genius and while the headlines will be about Henderson, Salah scoring again and the fact it is against Milan – Origi deserves plaudits.
