Liverpool fans praised Ozan Kabak despite 3-1 Real Madrid defeat
Liverpool fell to a 3-1 defeat on Tuesday night against Real Madrid – but some of the club’s fans on Twitter did at least give credit to their player Ozan Kabak for his individual performance.
Jurgen Klopp’s side have it all to do in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie after a loss tonight.
The Reds were beaten by a two-goal margin against Spanish giants Madrid, albeit they do have the small encouragement of an away goal that gives them something for the return leg next week.
Liverpool were second-best throughout the opening 45 minutes, as Vinicius Junior and Marco Asensio both got on the scoresheet for Madrid.
Mohamed Salah pulled one back early in the second half during Liverpool’s away leg, but a second from Vinicius has put the Spaniard’s in pole position for the semi-finals.
It’s been an underwhelming season so far for last year’s Premier League champions, and once again they came up short against a top opponent.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media believe Turkish defender Kabak was one positive from the latest game.
The 21-year-old centre-back battled valiantly against the experience of striker Karim Benzema, and made a couple of great tackles.
Unfortunately, the Liverpool backline couldn’t keep out Madrid.
Here are some Reds fans discussing Kabak:

Kabak has had a decent night, just his inexperience has caught him out at times

Feel like Kabak has been our best player so far tonight, which for him personally is nice to see but for the team as a whole is slightly concerning…

Taking Kabak, arguably one of ’s best players off for Shaquiri is an interesting substitution

Only player I thought did well was Kabak.

Kabak for 18m is absolute steal

Kabak on the other hand has crazy potential to be a top center back. I’d like us to sign him
