Liverpool fans praise Neco Williams for his Wales performance

Liverpool teenager Neco Williams completed 90 minutes for his country in midweek – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter hailed their player for his international performance.

The right-back helped Ryan Giggs’ Wales secure a 1-0 win in the Nations League match away to Bulgaria and he assisted the winning goal with his cross from out wide.

Williams, 19, earned his fifth senior cap for his country in the Wednesday victory and it was the first time he was given a spot in the starting XI.

The speedster was deployed in a right wing-back role that allowed him to attack freely during the contest and he looked a danger out wide with his delivery, before eventually he set up teammate Jonny Williams late on to score.

He’s played three first-team games so far this season for the Reds, but manager Jurgen Klopp is yet to include him in a Premier League side since the new campaign started.

The Welsh full-back has established himself as a Liverpool first teamer since coming through the academy, but he’s certainly still a raw talent that needs to sharpen up defensively and he’s got a lot to improve on.

He will gain so much experience from playing regularly for national side Wales and he can also pick the brain of first-choice Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
