Liverpool fans praise Fabinho for his Champions League performance
Liverpool finished the Champions League group stages with a 1-1 draw away to FC Midtjylland – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were in awe of the performance of their star Fabinho.
With top spot already secured in the group, the pressure was off Jurgen Klopp’s side on their trip to Denmark, but the manager named a fairly strong XI.
The Reds made the perfect start with Mohamed Salah’s goal within the opening minute, but the hosts deserved their equaliser for sheer pressure in the second-half with a penalty from Alexander Scholz.
It was a difficult night at times for Premier League champions Liverpool, but they can now focus on domestic games before the Champions League knockouts start in February.

Fabinho was one of several senior men that started against Midtjylland, partnering youngster Rhys Williams in the heart of defence.
Despite being a midfielder by trade, the 27-year-old Brazilian has stepped up superbly as a stand-in centre-back this season, and looks like he’s been playing there his entire career.
Fabinho was substituted off at half-time to give him some rest and they looked a much more vulnerable side without him on the pitch.
He produced a stunning goal-line clearance, not for the first time this season, and has become one of the Merseyside club’s most important players as a defender.
Here are some Reds fans discussing Fabinho:
