Liverpool fans in hysterics as Trent Alexander-Arnold spotted in Bayer Leverkusen’s Florian Wirtz video, ‘well played’
Liverpool have broken their transfer record to sign Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen in a deal that could potentially also break the British transfer record.
TBR Football revealed last month that Liverpool were prepared to break the British record to sign Wirtz, and add-ons would see that happen.
Liverpool have signed Wirtz on a five-year deal for an initial £100million and a further £16million in add-ons, as per .
Should those add-ons be achieved, Wirtz’s move would overtake Chelsea’s £107million deal with Benfica for Enzo Fernandez in 2023.
Leverkusen’s media team has been just as busy bidding farewell to Wirtz as Liverpool’s admins have been in welcoming him to Anfield.
And one video Leverkusen posted on social media had a number of Liverpool fans in hysterics – a key clue is that it involved Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool fans love clip of Florian Wirtz easily getting past Trent Alexander-Arnold
Leverkusen posted a one-minute highlights reel of Wirtz with the caption “he can do it all”, complete with a magic wand emoji and a sparkle emoji, along with the hashtag #ThanksFlo.
At 45 seconds, Wirtz is seen getting the better of Alexander-Arnold when the two teams faced off in the Champions League last November.
Liverpool fans, who it’s safe to say aren’t particularly fond of Alexander-Arnold at present, loved the inclusion of the clip.
“Admin – your media team deserve a pay rise for including 00:45,” one fan wrote on X.
Another said: “Hahahaha, love the clip of Flo Wirtz beating Trent Alexander-Arnold. Well played Bayer Leverkusen.”
The praise kept coming, with one fan saying: “I love how you snuck in him dribbling by 66.”
Another supporter wrote: “Him skinning Trent is all I need to see.”
“Admin cooking Trent, our brothers Leverkusen,” another fan said.
Another fan wrote: “Bodied the former Liverpool weak link …thank god he’s gone and the star boy is here.”
Leverkusen also posted directly to Liverpool’s Instagram calling on them to “look after” Wirtz.

Who could be next to join Liverpool after Florian Wirtz
Jeremie Frimpong, Armin Pecsi and Florian Wirtz have all joined Liverpool, and chances are there are more signings to come.
TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Bournemouth expect Milos Kerkez to complete his move to Liverpool next week.
TBR Football can confirm that the two clubs have finalised terms on a deal worth £40million, and that Kerkez has already agreed personal terms.
The Reds are also looking for a new centre-back, with Marc Guehi firmly in Liverpool’s sights, particularly as Jarell Quansah could soon be Leverkusen-bound.
