Liverpool fans go wild for Georginio Wijnaldum after Barcelona triumph

Liverpool remarkably booked their spot in the Champions League final – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter applauded their midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum.

The Reds were 3-0 down on aggregate after the first leg, but produced a stunning display at Anfield to win 4-0 on Tuesday night and make the final.

Divock Origi scored a goal early in the first-half to give the hosts a perfect start and they went in at half-time with plenty still left to do.

Wijnaldum then entered the action at half-time as a substitute for the injured Andy Robertson and scored two quick-fire goals to level the tie.

The Dutch midfielder unleashed a powerful drive that went into the goal, while he also scored a header from a Xherdan Shaqiri cross.

Origi then added his second from a clever Trent Alexander-Arnold corner to complete the famous victory and they will face Ajax or Tottenham in the final.

A selection of Liverpool fans went wild for Wijnaldum on social media following his match-winning contribution from the bench.

They managed to complete the huge shock without key pair Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, which highlighted how well Klopp is doing with the current group.
