Liverpool fans dreaming of Jadon Sancho, as he scores wondergoal at the Nou Camp

Jadon Sancho scored a stunning strike to become only the fourth Englishman to score in the Champions League against Barcelona at the Nou Camp – and Liverpool fans are drooling over a player they hope will move to Anfield in the future.

Barcelona took the lead through Luis Suarez just before the half-hour mark, as a lovely pass from Lionel Messi fed the Uruguay goal machine to score. Messi scored himself just four minutes later, after a mistake from Mats Hummels.

Messi notched his second assist of the night with a lovely turn and pass into Antoine Griezmann and the Frenchman did the rest, finishing with aplomb. Messi could have had a second, but he hit the bar from a free-kick.

But Dortmund did score a consolation goal, as substitute Sancho’s excellent footwork befuddled the Barcelona defence – before the ex-Manchester City star slammed an effort into the top corner, catching Marc-Andre ter Stegen out through surprise.

Dortmund came alive with the introduction of Sancho, and he almost grabbed a second for himself and Dortmund – playing a neat one-two before poking an effort that ter Stegen had to tip onto the bar.

Liverpool and any other interested parties will have to splash £120million to sign the 19-year-old, who is not enjoying his time under Lucien Favre at the moment.

Liverpool fans reacted to his display at the Nou Camp, which sees him join elite company in Andy Cole, Steve McManaman and Frank Lampard in English players to score in the Champions League at the Nou Camp.
