Liverpool fans discuss future of Xherdan Shaqiri after Euro 2020 display
Liverpool forward Xherdan Shaqiri scored twice as Switzerland defeated Turkey 3-1 in their final Group A fixture at Euro 2020.
Shaqiri scored his first in the 26th minute to put the Swiss 2-0 up, before adding a third in the 68th minute.
Switzerland have finished third in Group A and face an anxious wait to see if they will progress as one of the best third-placed teams.
Shaqiri is possibly trying to get himself in the shop window. Various reports have suggested that the 29-year-old could be sold in the summer.

A good Euro 2020 will undoubtedly get clubs interested and he could be available at an affordable price.
Shaqiri has been at Anfield since 2018. In 63 appearances, he’s scored eight goals and claimed nine assists.
He famously scored two goals in a game against Manchester United during the 2018/19 campaign. Jose Mourinho was sacked shortly afterwards.
Shaqiri is versatile and during his time at Liverpool he’s played on both flanks, as a No.10 and in the centre of midfield.
The former Stoke and Inter star has scored 25 goals in 94 for Switzerland and he was a standout on Sunday evening.
Should stay at Liverpool or leave?
Shaqiri leaving the Reds does seem highly likely and after his showing on Sunday, supporters have been reacting.
His first goal was a thing of real beauty and several fans have been gathering thoughts on what the club should do with him.
It does seem as though some fans are divided, however, with some thinking he could do a job.

The problem comes with game time. Liverpool have better players in his position.
