Liverpool fans demanding Ozan Kabak plays against Leicester

Liverpool travel to the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon to face Leicester City – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter have claimed that Ozan Kabak needs to start in the game.

With an injury crisis in defence, the Reds signed centre-back Kabak on loan from German Bundesliga club Schalke.

The 20-year-old has had a small amount of time to settle at Anfield and was on the bench during the recent 4-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.

He is a seven-time capped Turkey international with little experience at the top level and he’s yet to make his debut in English football, but Liverpool took a punt on him in the January window to try solve their injury crisis.

Fourth-placed Liverpool travel to third-placed Leicester City in a game that’s difficult to predict.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have lost back-to-back games in the Premier League to mean they are just clinging onto a Champions League position and they have a 10-point deficit now to leaders Man City.

The Merseyside giants have struggled in the defence of their league crown, which is why right now the focus have to be establishing a firm position in the top four.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media are adamant that Kabak should come into the XI.

With versatile star Fabinho ruled out of the Leicester clash, there are even fewer options for Klopp to pick from.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has shown he can slot in at centre-half, which could leave Kabak or another new signing in ex-Preston defender Ben Davies fighting for a starting position alongside him.

Here are some Liverpool fans insisting that Kabak should play tomorrow:
