Liverpool fans demand Naby Keita starts against Napoli

Liverpool host Napoli on Wednesday night in the Champions League group stages – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have urged manager Jurgen Klopp to start Naby Keita.

The 24-year-old midfielder has been an unused substitute in the last two consecutive games in the Premier League.

The Reds are preparing to face Italian opponents Napoli at Anfield in an important fixture, where the winners will progress to the knockout rounds of Europe’s elite club competition.

Liverpool are looking to defend their Champions League crown after success last year, but they were beaten by Napoli earlier this season during the first group match against them.

A selection of Liverpool supporters on social media want Klopp to recall Keita to the Xi.

The central midfielder has not started a single league match all season, but has had opportunities in the Champions League.

He finds himself stuck behind the likes of Jordan Henderson, Alex Oxalde-Chamberlain, Georginio Wijnaldum and Fabinho in the pecking order for the centre of the park.

But Keita is a dynamic midfielder that can offer a serious threat when dribbling forward and is just waiting to ignite his individual campaign.

I hope Naby Keita starts against Napoli. He could be such a positive addition to our midfield if he found some form. He has never really got going for Liverpool and needs a run of games. If he found top form, he’d be impossible to leave out. But he needs to start producing.

In certain games I don’t mind Keita, prem now tho every game is must win ur taking a massive risk. In theory the Palace game would’ve been perfect for Naby but don’t always work like that. Naby should start tmorrow though more than happy to take the risk vs Napoli
