Liverpool fans delighted as Thiago and Fabinho pictured in training gear

Liverpool fans have expressed their excitement on social media, with the club releasing pictures of injured duo Thiago and Fabinho in their training gear at the new AXA Training Centre.

The midfielders have both been out of action for the past few weeks.

£25 million signing Thiago () was clattered by Richarlison in the Merseyside Derby, a challenge the Brazilian saw red for.

And Fabinho sustained a hamstring injury during the Champions League clash against Midtjylland.

The images suggest both players are now close to being available again to Jurgen Klopp, which is a major positive for Jurgen Klopp.

At the moment, Liverpool are really struggling with injury problems, with Trent Alexander-Arnold out for a few more weeks and Virgil van Dijk and Joe Gomez out for the foreseeable future.

Liverpool have some tricky games coming up, and need their senior stars fighting fit if they are to go top of the Premier League and stay there.

Fabinho’s seemingly imminent return is a particular positive for Liverpool given the injuries to van Dijk and Gomez.

The £43.7 million Brazilian () is expected to play as a centre-half alongside Joel Matip while the first-choice pair are sidelined.

While the pair haven’t been shown in full training or doing any ball work yet, Liverpool fans couldn’t help but express their excitement with the duo looking close to returning:

It’s great to see them back especially Thiago & Fabinho but a word of caution it’s only light gym work not full training. I imagine there will be at least two full sessions before the match on Sunday hopefully they will join the group then along with others returning.
