Liverpool fans concerned after a shaky display by Adrian
Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian was called upon in the 2-1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion.
Alisson was sent off in the second half against Brighton with the Reds 2-0 up. Adrian, who has played plenty of games this season in Alisson’s absence, was called into action out of the blue.
Adrian conceded immediately

But it was a disastrous start for the Spaniard, whose first touch was to pick the ball out of his net. He felt aggrieved as Martin Atkinson didn’t give him sufficient time to sort out his wall before blowing the whistle that led to Lewis Dunk’s goal.
That halved the deficit for the Seagulls and it set up a nervy ending. This was not made any easier by Adrian, who had one particularly worrying moment.
Adrian fumbled the ball near his own goal line and nearly conceded. Liverpool eventually crawled over the line and picked up three points to move 11 points clear.
But they will be without Alisson for the next game: the Merseyside derby against Everton. Liverpool fans will be hoping for Adrian to replicate his previous performances, rather than a repeat of the Brighton display.
