‘Make it happen’: Liverpool fans react after hearing Klopp wants 11-goal ace

Liverpool fans have been having their say on reports that Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini remains on Jurgen Klopp’s summer radar.

have reported this week that the Reds could move for Pellegrini this summer. Barcelona are also said to be keen, with the player apparently holding a £25m release-clause in his contract.

Of course, links to midfielders are going to be the norm for the Liverpool supporters this summer. Gini Wijnaldum has left, and that means the first XI has a gaping hole that needs plugging.

Pellegrini was directly involved in 20 goals last term with Roma. 11 of those were goals scored by Pellegrini himself.

Jose Mourinho is said to want to keep Pellegrini around in Rome. But he knows full well that if a bid meets his clause, then he’ll be powerless to stop a move.

Liverpool fans, then, have been discussing Pellegrini on social media in the last few days.

Liverpool fans open to Pellegrini signing

Pellegrini is quite the midfield player, in fairness to him. Most clubs would love to have him onboard. He would, in no uncertain terms, improve many a Premier League club.

Twitter, then, was full of comments from Reds fans discussing the potential signing of the Roma star.

And while some think it’s a case of ‘believe it when I see it’, it does seem Pellegrini is a player who’d be welcomed at Anfield.
