Liverpool fans blown away by Rhian Brewster’s stunning goal for Swansea

Forcing your way into the current Liverpool side is going to be a huge ask for any player currently closer to the periphery of Jurgen Klopp’s squad – but Rhian Brewster certainly appears to be giving it his best shot ahead of next season.

Brewster has been extremely impressive during his time at Swansea City. The striker went into Wednesday’s clash with Nottingham Forest having scored eight goals in 17 appearances since joining Steve Cooper’s men on loan in January.

And he needed just eight minutes at the City Ground to add to that tally with a stunning strike.

The ball was played in from the left from Jake Bidwell. Brewster proceeded to volley home a thunderous strike on the spin that found the roof of the net.

Brice Samba is one of the Championship’s best goalkeepers. However, he got nowhere near Brewster’s attempt and did not even have the time to dive before the ball was past him.

Of course, Brewster is going to need to contribute more than goals if he is hoping to force Klopp to give him more chances upon his return.

But the strike is clearly a reminder that the youngster has that piece of magic up his sleeve. And plenty of Reds fans are imploring Klopp to hand him an opportunity upon his return.

Many now believe that he could jump ahead of Divock Origi in the pecking order. And they are optimistic that he has an extremely bright future at Anfield ahead of him.

Here is how some of the Liverpool fans reacted to Brewster’s goal…
