Jurgen Klopp is reportedly said to be interested in raiding Unai Emery’s Villarreal to sign Arnaut Danjuma ahead of the January window – and Liverpool fans have applauded his brace this week.
Danjuma, 24, has been sensational for Villarreal – since the Netherlands international joined the club from English Championship side Bournemouth. Clocking up 18 appearances, he has scored nine goals for the La Liga side.
Four of those nine goals have come in six Champions League outings – two of which came against Atalanta on Thursday night. that Liverpool would “love” to sign Danjuma.
Of course, Liverpool could be in the market for a new attacker – with Mo Salah and Sadio Mane jetting off to represent Egypt and Senegal at the African Cup of Nations, which could be for the entirety of January.
What are Liverpool fans saying about Danjuma brace?
If Liverpool fans were not already convinced about a move for the ex-Brugge wide man, they should be now. His second goal was delightful, rolling his defender and finishing like a man in the form of his life.
It is unclear how much Villarreal would want for Danjuma, especially if the Reds targeted him in January. Given he only joined the Yellow Submarine in the summer, a move is incredibly unlikely.
But a move to Liverpool will be tempting for Danjuma, who will feel like he has unfinished business in the Premier League. Liverpool fans applauded his brace, and urged their club to sign him.
