The lightening quick forward can play on either flank and would seemingly be ready made for the Liverpool style of play, with his national side teammate Georgino Wijnaldum also having spoken out recently to support a move for his close friend who could soon be lining up in front of him.

French outlet report that unwanted defender Mamadou Sakho could be on his way out of the club with a new interested party in the form of Southampton, managed by Sakho’s compatriot Claude Puel. The Saints are preparing to lose captain Jose Fonte after he submitted a transfer request and Virgil Van Dijk is also in demand, so Sakho could fill the gap.

The ex-PSG man has no future at Anfield after a falling out with Jurgen Klopp and is reportedly keen to remain in the Premier League despite offers from abroad, so this deal could be perfect for all parties.

However, the Reds are preparing to miss out on Benfica striker Raul Jimenez according to Portuguese newspaper . They claim that the club are considering a £22 million bid for the centre forward but that Benfica will hold out for a higher price, with interest from China lurking.

The most likely scenario will now see the striker move to the Chinese Super League with Benfica confident that they can convince the interested parties to spend over £40 million to get their man, way over the kind of price that Liverpool would even begin to consider paying for Jimenez.
