Liverpool duo to make late checks on Keita, Matip and Thiago tomorrow
Liverpool will make late checks on Naby Keita and Joel Matip tomorrow ahead of the club’s third Champions League group stage match against Atalanta.
The Reds are currently sweating on the pair who have both been unavailable for selection recently.

Both players participated in first-team training yesterday though according to manager Jurgen Klopp, but they will need to be passed fit by club medics.
Matip, 29, has missed the last four matches with a muscle problem, while £120,000-a-week star Keita () has not made a matchday squad since the 7-2 defeat to Aston Villa before the international break.
One man who is much less likely to be involved tomorrow night is Thiago Alcantara, who is still feeling the effects of Richarlison’s challenge on him in the Merseyside Derby.
Speaking at his press conference, Klopp said (): “Naby and Joel trained yesterday with the team, full, Thiago didn’t. So, that’s the situation.

“I have really no idea what I do with this information in the moment because yes, they trained, that’s good, it’s better than if they don’t train. But we have to see what we do with it.
“We have another day to make these decisions. A lot of players will be on the plane hopefully, and so decisions will be made late, late, late.”
TBR’s View – Liverpool need Matip fit especially
The Reds could really do with Matip being passed fully fit for the game.
Arguably he’s the player they need most, with midfield cover available to Klopp for Keita and Thiago.
Atalanta are a dangerous, free-scoring side and they will really fancy their chances if there is no senior option lining up next to Joe Gomez.
