Liverpool duo send Instagram posts to unfortunate gem Layton Stewart

Liverpool striker Layton Stewart has been dealt a devastating blow after he ruptured his ACL during Saturday’s 1-1 draw for the under-23s against West Ham.

The R🌌eds talisman twisted awkwardly and was carried away from the field on a stretcher following lengthy treatment.

Stewart will require surgery to repair the injury and will face several months on the sideli𓆏nes during his recovery.

The 18-yꦇeaꦗr-old was forced to have an operation on his ankle around a year ago and was just starting to get into his stride.

Academy starlet Stewart joins Paul Glatzel and Abdi Sharif in suffering an ACL problem, with the duo b🥀eing sidelined for more than a year now.

After confirming his worst fears on Instagram, S✨tewart received messages of support from Curtis Jones ♏and Harvey Elliott.

Both Jones and Elliott spent time plying their trade in the under-23 ranks 🍸with Liverpool.

Scouser Jones is now a regular in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team, whilst Eliott finds hi✅mself out on loan at Blackburn Rovers.

Stewart’s road to recovery will🐼 start now and he will be desperate to get himself fit and firing again as soon as possible.

The youngster will be ꦯa massive loss to the club’s youth ranks with his record this season pretty impressive.

He has found the net 15 times in 10 games for the under-18s and had also scored twice in eight appearances fo🌼r the under-23s.

Stewart has been capped by the England under-18 ranks and is 💎a player who looks set for a bright future.

Klopp has showcased willingness in the past to utilise his academy ranks an💫d the youngster will hope to return q﷽uickly.
