Liverpool could sign ‘amazing’ defender, but not in this transfer window
Liverpool are in the market for a new centre-back this summer.
The Reds have been strongly linked with a move for Leny Yoro in recent times, and he’s not the only defender on Arne Slot’s radar.
Indeed, according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on , Levi Colwill is a player who the Reds are big fans of.
Unfortunately, Liverpool𒈔 don’t think a deal will be possible this summer, but Jacobs notes that this could be one to watch for next year.

Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘amazing’ Chelsea defender and Liverpool’s interest.
🔯“Yoro is one of them and Levi Colwill is another, but they don’t think anything is possible at this stage. So maybe that is one to watch as far as 2025 is concerned,” Jacobs said.
ജ“Colwill wants to be in the mix for the 2026 World Cup, and he needs to know Chelsea is the right place for him. Chelsea are calm about the situation, but if it doesn’t go according to plan Liverpool might come calling.”

🐽Colwill may be one to watch at Anfield for next year, but that doesn’t change the fact that Liverpool still need a new centre-back this summer.
﷽The Reds are a man down after losing Joel Matip, while Joe Gomez is moving to play more as a full-back and Ibrahima Konate is proving to be quite injury and error prone these days.
𝓀A new centre-back has to be one of the Reds’ top priorities at this point, and while the deal for Colwill may have to be put on ice, Liverpool need to turn up the heat when it comes to pursuing their other targets.
