Liverpool could end up signing £70m England Euro 2024 star this summer
Liverpool are looking to bring a new defender through the door this summer.
After losing Joel Matip and converting Joe Gomez into more of a full-back, the Reds need to bring in a new centre-half.
Liverpool have been linked with tons of centre-backs already this summer.
Leny Yoro was said to be someone the Reds were keen on, and while Manchester United did sign the player, Yoro is still someone the Merseyside club rate highly.
Yoro won’t be arriving at Anfield this summer, but according to Ben Jacobs, Marc Guehi may be a player who does come to Liverpool.
Indeed, speaking on Forest Fan TV, Ben Jacobs has been discussing Liverpool’s search for a new defender, and he says that Guehi is a player Liverpool really like and a move to Anfield is a possibility for the defender.
Marc Guehi to Liverpool is possible
Jacobs shared what he knows about Liverpool and the £70m centre-back.
“Liverpool are still looking. I’m not aware that they’ve advanced anything with Murillo specifically. One of those links that you hear as a journalist, but when you check it out there’s not much substance yet. They like Marc Guehi, so that could be a possibility,” Jacobs said.

Guehi move may be difficult
Liverpool are seemingly very keen on Marc Guehi, but getting the England international out of Crystal Palace this summer won’t be easy.
Palace have already lost Michael Olise this summer, while Eberechi Eze has also been linked with a move away from Selhurst Park.
With Eze having a release clause in his contract, it’s likely that he may leave this summer, and Palace won’t want to lose their three best players all within the same transfer window.
Guehi will eventually be on the move, but it’s hard to imagine Palace agreeing to sell the centre-back in the same window as Olise and Eze.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for Guehi to turn up at Anfield.
