Liverpool can use Naby Keita in swap deal to land Romagnoli, delivering a blow to Everton at the same time – TBR View
Liverpool could well have the ideal opportunity to bring in a world-class central defender to partner Virgil van Dijk, with news emerging that Naby Keita could leave the club this summer.
The former RB Leipzig midfielder is one of six players Jurgen Klopp could be willing to let leave. Indeed, a report from AC Milan were keen on landing the Guinea international.

It comes as have begun to emerge around Klopp running out of patience with Keita. After spending over £50m on him a few seasons back, Keita has simply not lived up the billing.
However, this could well play into Liverpool’s hands if they can play their cards right. And at the same time, they could deliver a bitter blow to rivals Everton at the same time.
That would come in the form of asking Milan if a swap deal involving Alessio Romagnoli could be on the cards.
The Italian was as one of the best in Serie A by the legendary defender, Franco Baresi. So if Liverpool are to let Keita leave, why not ask the question and seek to bring in one of Italy’s finest?
Get one up on the neighbours, bring more quality to an already brilliant squad
Romagnoli has been linked with a move to Everton in the past few months. Indeed, claimed back in May that the Toffees had made enquiries about the classy 25-year-old.
But surely a move to Liverpool appeals more. This, despite the lure of Italian legend, Carlo Ancelotti.

The Reds are going to be successful. Titles should continue to roll in the coming seasons, while they’ll always be fancied in Europe thanks to their high-energy play.
Furthermore, it gives them options. While Joe Gomez sits nicely alongside Virgil van Dijk, it would give Klopp a formidable central duo at his disposal with Romagnoli and the Dutch colossus.
That could, in turn, give Klopp the chance to move Trent Alexander-Arnold further forward, with Gomez more than capable at full-back if needed. ‘TAA’ has often been touted to move upfield, thanks to his brilliant range of passing and delivery.
If that is the plan, then what better way to start the ball rolling than to land a world-class central defender in place of Naby Keita. Not to mention, pipping your nearest rivals to one of their top targets.
