Liverpool boss Arne Slot delivers honest Jarell Quansah verdict for the future
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has leapt to the defence of Jarell Quansah in wake of his mixed display against Brighton in midweek.
The young Liverpool defender started for the Anfield outfit ওin their Carabao Cup trip to 🍒the Amex Stadium.
For the most part, Quansah was positive and on the front🥂 foot, won important headers and made a great block to thwart a Kaoru Mitoma cross in the second half.
However, the 🦄21-year-old also overran the ball to gift Brighton a chance from which they scored 🦩in the 80th minute.
Quansah recovered well from the setback to once ag❀ain deny Mitoma😼 after chasing him back and making a good tackle.
However, the Liverpool man then deflected the ball into the back of the net lat𒁃e on in the game, and was substituted just after.
Despite what happened, Slot was eager to 🉐defend Quansah ahead of Saturday’s Premier League match against the s꧑ame opposition.

Arne Slot says Jarell Quansah is ‘getting better and better’ for Liverpool
Slot, speaking to the , said he believes Quansah played a “very good game” and is “getting bet♍ter and better and better”.
The Dutchman then said the only issue Quansah continues to have is that any 😼mistakes are “immediately” being punished by goals, which is the “last step” he needs to sort out.
“I think Jarell played a very good game, the only issue he has at the moment is if he has a moment that is not perfect it immediately ⛄le🦂ads to a goal,” said Slot.
“That’s what happened in this game. He was, i꧂n my opinion, unlucky.
“I know you cannot judge a player leaving these two moments [out], because they are so vital for a result. But he i🍬𒉰s getting better and better and better, and he was already really good.
“So, for him, it’s that last step maybe to make, which he ha🦄s already showed in theܫ past that he can play a game without making these small mistakes.”
Quansah already ahead of the curve
At just 21 years of age, Quansah is a young player whose talent and character have seen him made 36 senior outings for Liv𝓀erpool already.
Most defenders don’t 🌌peak until their mid-to-late twenties, so Quansah is certai🧸nly ahead of the curve at present.
All players are bound t⛎o make mistakes, particularly when they’re so young and already playing in the unforgiving environment that is the Premier League.
It’s good to see Slot support his player and it’ll be exciting to see how he continues to develop. He will no doubt get bett꧋er and iron out those flaws over the coming years.
