Liverpool bid £84m to sign forward better than Mohamed Salah
Liverpool have made an offer to sign a player who Troy Deeney described as better than Mohamed Salah.
A far cry from the days of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and the Egypt international being Jurgen Klopp’s undisputed frontline, the attacking department at Anfield is now quite uncertain, amid doubts over the future of Luis Diaz.
Amid this uncertainty, reports in Spain believe Liverpool have made a huge bid for a Brazilian forward…
Liverpool make Rodrygo offer
A story from now states that Liverpool have offered €100m (£84m) to sign Real Madrid No.11 Rodrygo.
The Spanish news outlet believe Real Madrid are willing to sell the Brazil international for a sum of €150m (£127m) – amid the arrivals of Kylian Mbappe and Endrick – but have rejected Liverpool’s bid.
SPORT believe Rodrygo would ideally like to stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, the South American will ask Real Madrid for a move to the Premier League if it becomes apparent that Mbappe and Endrick are going to take minutes away from him.

Rodrygo impressed in the 2023/24 campaign as Real Madrid won La Liga and also the UEFA Champions League for a record 15th time – scoring 17 goals while also providing nine assists in 51 appearances across all competitions.
As aforesaid, Deeney even thinks the 23-year-old is better than Salah.
Reds seem to be infatuated with the Brazilian
Of course, managers and recruitment staff come and go, with transfer targets changing all the time, although Liverpool have seemingly been trying to sign Rodrygo since 2019, at least.
According to Elano – previously of Manchester City and Interim Manager of Rodrygo’s old club Santos at the time of his emergence – revealed to ESPN that Liverpool showed “strong interest” in the attacker when he was still playing in the Brazilian side’s youth ranks.

The 42-year-old : “There was very strong interest from Liverpool for the boy when he was in the lower categories (at Santos) and they wanted to sign him, but the offer was too low. Then came the offer from Madrid.”
Clearly, Liverpool have admired Rodrygo for many years now, and that admiration doesn’t seem to have dissipated at all amid rumours of this £84m bid.
