Liverpool are ready to pay Enzo Fernandez higher salary than any other club – journalist
Benfica star Enzo Fernandez has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool in recent weeks, and the Reds are apparently willing to pay him a higher salary than any other club.
That’s according to football journalist Dean Jones, who has revealed the latest on all the links about the Argentinian midfielder and Jurgen Klopp’s side over the last few days.

Journalist says Liverpool are ready to pay Enzo Fernandez higher salary than any other club
claimed a few days ago that Liverpool really want to sign Fernandez and have even made a move to get him.
Argentinian publication then claimed that the Reds have even reached a pre-agreement to sign him next summer.
Jones was quizzed about this and the journalist claimed that the above news may be a bit far-fetched. He revealed that Liverpool are ready to offer Fernandez better personal terms than any other club, but the problem for them remains his release clause, which stands at over £100 million.
“The talk around Enzo Fernandez and a pre-contract at Liverpool doesn’t exactly fit as far as I have discovered so far,” Jones said while speaking to .
“It sounds like Liverpool would be willing to match or top any personal offer he gets next, but at the end of the day, he still has a big release clause that needs to be met of over £100 million.”
Fernandez, branded as ‘spectacular’ by Lionel Messi, only joined Benfica last summer and his contract does not expire until the summer of 2027. That puts the Portuguese giants in a very strong position in potential transfer negotiations.

TBR View:
It looks like Liverpool have decided they’re going to splash the big bucks on a central midfielder in 2023.
So far, the three names linked with big moves to Anfield have been Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and now, Fernandez – all of whom will cost at least £100 million in one of the next two transfer windows.
Bellingham certainly seems like the one Klopp wants, but with multiple other top clubs interested in his signature, it’s no surprise that the Reds are considering backup options.
Fernandez is definitely a talented player, but is he on the same level as Bellingham? We don’t think so.
