Liverpool are now privately thinking about signing 21-year-old Chelsea player this summer

Liverpool are considering whether to make a move to sign a really talented Chelsea player this summer.

The Reds will be under new management very soon. Jurgen Klopp has already announced that he will be l🐼eaving the club, and the search for a new manager is underway.

Liverpool are not expected to make any new signings until a new manager is appo🀅inted, but like any other team, the Merseysiders have a list of targets alreadꦫy.

Reinforcements are required in multiple areas of the pitch, but we think Liverpool‘s priority will be to strengthen their defence this s꧙umme🥂r.

Liverpool are considering whether to bid for Chelsea’s Levi Colwill

Liverpool’s defence needs work, doesn’t it?

Joe Matip is all set to leave the club at the end of his contract this summer, while Virgil van Dijk, who is 32 already, is not getting any younger.

The priority for the Reds has to be a left-sided centre-half, preferably someone who is left-footed as 🌺well. That would offer a better balance to their side.

What would be even more handy is if they sign a player who could play at left-back as well when Andy Robertson needs a break or is unavailable.

That’s why Chelsea defender Levi Colwill is on Liverpool’s rada🅰r again, with claiming that the Reds are privately ‘mulling over whet📖her to attempt’ to sign him this summer.

Liverpool have had an eye on Colwill for a while now. The Reds were really interested in signing him last year after his successful loan spell at Brighton.

Chelsea managed to keep hold of him then and extended his contract at the club.

Now, with PSR and FFP set to be a concern for the Blues, there is a small chance they could be force꧒d to consider offers for Colwill if it arrives.

Levi Colwill has already made a surprise Liverpool admission

Levi Colwill is a very talented young defender.

The 21-year-old has been a part of a struggling Chelsea side this season, but 🎐his talent is there for everyone to see. Under the right manager, he has the potential to develop into a bri🔥lliant defender.

Liverpool are right to target Colwill – they would’ve signed him last summer if Chelsea were ready to let him go.

Now, if a move becomes possible this sum🌃mer, Colwill could consider it, and his dad may even help the Reds get a deal over the line.

That’s because Colwill’s father is a big Liverpool fan.

“My dad, Levi, is a real Liverpool fan… he tells me all the news, injuries, the knowledg﷽e that fans have🦋 that I wouldn’t really know myself,” Colwill said a couple of months ago.
