Liverpool are about to make ‘world class’ £54m attacker their first signing of the summer

Liverpool are closing in on their first signing of the summer.

Arne Slot has taken the reins at Anfield and will be hopeful of adding a number of new profiles to the squad this window.

Slot will be eager to make his own imprint on the squad following Jurgen Klopp’s departure and it’s understood he’s looking to sign an attacker.

Whilst Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo certainly haven’t been poor since arriving, they just haven’t quite made the grade to take the club up a level.

So with that said, Liverpool are now close to signing a world-class attacker to replace them in the starting 11.
