Liverpool star Andrew Robertson sends message to fans after Scotland victory

Liverpool star Andrew Robertson has taken to Twitter with a message celebrating Scotland’s strong finish to their World Cup qualifying campaign.

The Reds ace has been instrumental for club and country over the past few years.

As well as helping Liverpool win the Premier League and Champions League, Robertson has also got Scotland back into a major tournament.

The Anfield left-back helped his nation qualify for Euro 2020, and now they could potentially reach their first World Cup since 1998.

Scotland ran out 2-0 winners over Denmark on Monday to secure themselves a home draw in the playoffs next March.

Robertson, his nation’s captain, impressed in the match, patrolling the left flank and embarking on numerous surging runs.

However, he limped off late on in the game, with some outlets including claiming he may have suffered a suspected hamstring injury.

The Scotland skipper went down to the turf clutching his leg on the 79th minute and had to be taken off as he was replaced by Scott McKenna.

On Twitter, Robertson didn’t refer to his knock or the substitution, instead focusing on the team’s efforts on the night:

The picture over Robertson’s potential injury should become clearer over the next few days.

Should he find himself on the sidelines, Kostas Tsimikas is likely to replace him at left-back for Liverpool.

Jurgen Klopp’s charges are next in action on Saturday when they host Arsenal at Anfield.
