Liverpool and Tottenham eyeing Brazilian wonderkid likened to Adriano with big move looking likely this summer

TBR Football can exclusively confirm that Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur are among the Premier League clubs interested in a Brazilian wonderkid likened to Adriano.

Liverpool and Tottenham are both likely to strengthen their ranks in the summer transfer window.

The Reds are heavy favourites to win the Premier League this season, but their squad could do with strengthening so they can challenge on multiple fronts next term.

Meanwhile, Spurs have had a nightmare of a season and another similarly poor campaign will not be tolerated by the club’s hierarchy and fans next term.

And while first-team ready players are likely to be high on the agenda of both Liverpool and Tottenham, there’s always scope to bring in top talents who could develop into superstars.

However, the Reds and the Lilywhites are far from alone, with the likes of Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle United and Wolverhampton Wanderers also circling.

Liverpool and Tottenham long-term admirers of Vasco da Gama wonderkid Rayan but other Premier League sides circling

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey understands that Brazilian starlet Rayan could be set for a move to England this summer.

The Vasco Da Gama forward has come through the ranks of the Rio de Janeiro giants and has been a key part of the first-team squad since 2023.

Vasco and Rayan have snubbed plenty of European interest to this point, but sources have now told TBR Football that a move is looking increasingly likely in 2025.

Rayan was one of the stars of Brazil side that won the recent South American Under-20 Championship – where every major club in Europe was present.

We can confirm that Liverpool, Tottenham, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest, Newcastle and Wolves are amongst the sides who are showing a genuine interest in the 18-year-old.

Indeed, Liverpool and Tottenham have been on Rayan’s trail since he was 16, and have kept close tabs on him since then.

What Rayan could bring to the Premier League

At just 18 years of age, Rayan is already closing in on 50 competitive appearances for Vasco da Gama, and has two international youth trophies to his name.

The left-footer has spent much of his early years playing off the right wing, but is equally at home playing centrally and on the left.

Jacek Kulig has described Rayan as a “complete forward” and likened him to Brazil legend Adriano.

Rayan has also been deemed “powerful and determined” with “killer-instinct, great technique on the ball, and cleverness at his off-the-ball movements.”

Kulig’s potential rating for Rayan is a 9 out of 10, deeming him capable of becoming a key player in a top European club.
