He has struggled for game-time with the first-team. So you could certainly understand why some Reds fans felt that he had to prove a point while away if he hopes to make the grade at Anfield in the future.

He arguably still has some way to go, but there is no question that he has made a bright start to his time at Swansea.

Brewster bagged his fourth Championship goal in 10 appearances on Saturday as Steve Cooper’s men drew with Blackburn Rovers at Ewood Park.

And it was a fantastic finish from the 19-year-old. He produced a good touch on the edge of the box to bring the ball under control before striking a vicious effort into the bottom corner on the volley.

Interestingly, there have a couple of fans who have compared the goal to one Fernando Torres once scored for Liverpool against Inter Milan in the Champions League.

And it appears that there are plenty of Reds supporters who are a lot more optimistic about Brewster’s future than they may have been when he initially left on loan.

The Swansea fans meanwhile, are desperately hoping that they can keep the teenager for a full season next year. He certainly appears to have made a big impression during the early stages of his loan spell.
