Liverpool ace Andy Robertson given 8/10 rating after Scotland’s win
Liverpool ace Andy Robertson was handed a rating of eight out of 10 for his performance in Scotland’s win over Austria.
The Tartan Army were in fine form last night, recording a 1-0 victory to take them into second place in their World Cup qualifying group.
Lyndon Dykes scored a penalty to help secure a second-consecutive win for the Scots.
And the Liverpool ace was at the heart of his side’s great performance. No Scotland player made more tackles (3) and interceptions (3) than Robertson.
The right-back also had the most touches (61) out of his teammates in a resolute display.
clearly thought the Reds defender was in sensational form as they gave him an eight out of 10.
When talking about Robertson’s performance, the publication said: “Very close to a 9 as defensively he was excellent, constantly in the right spot to nick the ball away from an opponent. Marked down for some poor deliveries.”
Deliveries need to improve from Robertson
Since signing from Hull City back in 2017, the Scotsman has gone from strength to strength.
And one of his best assets has been his delivery into the box. Only Trent Alexander-Arnold has registered more assists since the season than Robertson.
However, deliveries need to improve from Robertson for Liverpool after Scotland’s win.
His quality was woeful during the World Cup qualifier, with neither of his two deliveries finding a target.
It is surprising to say but his best asset was his defending, which is not something you would not normally attribute to the Liverpool star.
