Liverpool’s Jordan Henderson says Bellingham is better at this age than he was
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has commented on Borussia Dortmund youngster Jude Bellingham.
In an interview (via ), the Reds captain lavished the starlet with praise, claiming the 18-year-old is ‘miles ahead’ of where he was at his age.
Henderson has also backed the Birmingham-born ace to star for England sooner rather than later.
Bellingham started for England in their recent 4-0 win over Andorra. It was the 18-year-old’s first start for the Three Lions at Wembley Stadium.
He seemed to enjoy himself after a of the starlet was shared online. After falling with the ball near the corner flag, the midfielder effortlessly glided past three players, nutmegging the last one.
When talking about Bellingham, Henderson said: “He’s a fantastic player. Even at such a young age, he shows fantastic maturity on and off the field. You can see how hungry he is to be a top player and has all the attributes to do that.
“He is miles ahead of me when I was that age.”

Bellingham would be the perfect replacement for Wijnaldum
The summer transfer window was far from a positive experience for those associated with Liverpool.
Gini Wijnaldum departed for Paris Saint Germain without a replacement.
It left a gaping hole in Jurgen Klopp’s midfield; one you would think needs filling next summer.
In Bellingham, Liverpool should target the perfect player to do just that.
His ability on the ball and goal-scoring prowess does remind you of the departed Netherlands international.
Wijnaldum almost always popped up with crucial goals. His brace against Barcelona in the Champions League semi-final remains fresh in the memory.
Replacing that is key for Liverpool and Bellingham could well be the man for the job.
