Liverpool 31-year-old hails ‘incredible’ teammate who has helped teach him to play in his role
Fabinho has been praised by Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson ahead of tonight’s Champions League final with Real Madrid.
In an interview with the , Henderson made his admiration for his midfield colleague clear.
The Brazilian had been an injury doubt for tonight’s showpiece in Paris but it looks like he will be fit to line up alongside Henderson.
The 31-year-old England international said that Fabinho has helped him learn the game as an acnhorman, having been more of a box to box player throughout his career.

Henderson said: “I’ve got to give a lot of credit to the manager in teaching me how to play in different roles, especially the six.
“I never really played six until he came. At first I found it really tough, but the more I played there the more understanding I got.
“I’ve learned from other players that play the position, like Fab [Fabinho]. “I play that role different to Fab, I feel.
“Fabinho is an incredible No 6 at what he does, reading the game, defensively, even linking the player with the ball. Just everything about that position is him — that’s his role.
“But I feel as though I’ve learnt that role where, if he’s not there, I can perform it to a high level and I can offer something different.”

Before the game, Henderson has also spoken about his admiration for Luka Modric, a player that he and Fabinho will have to try and stop tonight.
Liverpool have the energy in midfield, while Madrid have more guile and it will be an intriguing battle to see on the biggest stage of all.
The Reds are the better side on paper, but it is a one-off game and anything can happen on a night when Liverpool can etch their name into the legend of their famous club once more.
