‘Little bit of stick’: Calvin Ramsay now shares which Liverpool player has been teasing him in training

Liverpool defender Calvin Ramsay hasn’t had the start to life at Anfield that he might have imagined.

The 19-year-old was ruled out for the few months of the season due to an injury.

However, when he joined from Aberdeen.

He eventually returned to action in October, starring for the under-21s and scoring against Accrington Stanley.

Ramsay eventually made his senior debut just before the mid-season break.

He came on as a late substitute against Napoli in the Champions League, before starting against Derby in the Carabao Cup.

Sky Sports pundit Stephen Warnock was very impressed with his performance against the League One side.

Ramsay has been part of Jurgen Klopp’s square preparing for the restart of the Premier League.

With Trent Alexander-Arnold yet to return to training, Ramsay now has an outside chance of making his league debut against Aston Villa.

, Ramsay has outlined with start to life at the club.

Despite settling in well, Ramsay admitted that fellow Scot Andrew Robertson has been teasing him behind-the-scenes.

They both play in the same position, albeit on opposite flanks, and Ramsay admits he’s been watching Robertson closely.

“He’s been good with me to be fair,”

He’s been giving me a little bit of stick, but also helping me out when he can.

“Obviously he’s Scottish as well, so I think he knows exactly what it was like coming through as a youngster at my age.

“So, he tried to give me little pointers and tips where he can and I appreciate that.

“He’s someone I can learn from and look up to, definitely because when I am not playing I can watch him and Trent [Alexander-Arnold] as well, obviously, on my side, to see what they can do, improve on and add to my game.”

Robertson has always been a bit of a joker and it’s no surprise he’s been teasing Ramsay in training.

The left-back missed a chunk of Liverpool’s matches with a knee injury before the World Cup break.

However, he’s already been back in action during the mid-season break, and will be hoping to rediscover his best form.

He could soon be joined on the pitch by a second Scot, as Ramsay continues to develop at the club.
