Links to Matthias Ginter should alarm Tottenham star Eric Dier
Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in making a late play for Matthias Ginter.
, Spurs are prepared to pay £32 million for the Germany international – but his club Borussia Monchengladbach want £55 million.

Time is fast running out for clubs to do business with the transfer window closing on Thursday for Premier League clubs, meaning Tottenham have a decision to make.
Ginter has been with Gladbach since 2017 after stints with Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund.
Primarily a centre-half, Ginter has the versatility to operate as a holding midfielder – and that could spell trouble for Eric Dier if a move came to fruition.
TBR’s view
Given the player’s price tag and the late stage of the window, a move is highly unlikely.
But if Spurs signed Ginter against the odds then Dier’s chances of regular game time would diminish.

Dier’s two main positions are holding midfield and central defence, meaning he would be in direct competition with the 26-cap international for minutes.
Not only does Ginter operate in the same positions as £60,000-a-week ace Dier (), but he also has a similar style and physical build to that of the Englishman, further suggesting they would be in direct competition with one another.
