Liam McCarron could follow Kemar Roofe’s example and shine at Leeds United
Leeds United could launch a £250,000 bid for Carlisle United starlet Liam McCarron, .
McCarron is a highly-rated young player and Leeds are hoping to win this race. For just £250,000, this is a low-cost gamble which could pay dividends in the near-future.
But Leeds are not the only club chasing McCarron. The 18-year-old is also wanted by Premier League high-flyers Wolves, as well as newly-promoted Sheffield United and Championship play-off finalists Derby County.
McCarron has options this summer as he considers a move away from Carlisle. The talented teenager already has 20 games under his belt and has impressed scouts with his performances.

When assessing his options, McCarron should consider the success that Kemar Roofe has enjoyed at Leeds. Like McCarron, Roofe was playing in League Two when Leeds took an interest.
Now, he is one of the Whites’ top performers. Roofe spearheaded a promotion push last season and is now wanted by several Premier League sides.
McCarron is not quite at the level Roofe was when he swapped the fourth tier for the Championship. But it shows that there is a blueprint for success in this type of deal. And Leeds could end up with a top player if he fulfils his potential.
