Liam Delap’s Chelsea move draws big reaction from Morgan Rogers and Kalvin Phillips
Chelsea have made arguably the biggest signing of the summer transfer window so far by securing the services of Liam Delap.
TBR Football confirmed last month that Delap had decided on a move to Chelsea ahead of fellow suitors Manchester United and Everton.
Now, Chelsea have formally announced the arrival of Delap, who joins the Stamford Bridge outfit in a £30million deal from Ipswich Town.
Plenty of fans were buzzing over the deal, and a number of Delap’s peers – such as Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Manchester City’s Kalvin Phillips – have also had their say.

As is often the case, a big signing sees a flurry of social media activities by the buying club and the player.
As well as expressing his delight at joining Chelsea, Liam Delap also took the opportunity to send a heartfelt farewell message to Ipswich and their fans.
Rogers responded by posting three heart emojis, while Phillips wrote: “Love you brother”. He also included two heart emojis.
The likes of James McAtee, Jens Cajuste and Conor Chaplin also responded to Delap’s message, the latter joking about his move to Chelsea despite Chaplin apparently winning the shooting drills.

Delap spoke of how everyone at Chelsea told him they were eager to get the club back to the very top, and he’ll now have the opportunity to help shape their future.
