Liam Cooper reacts to Diego Llorente’s display on Instagram
Liam Cooper joined plenty of Leeds United fans in replying to Diego Llorente on Instagram, labelling his centre-back partner’s display against Manchester City ‘different class’.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side produced arguably their best performance of the season on Saturday. They beat the soon-to-be champions 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium.
What made the display all the more incredible was that Leeds had to play more than a half of the game with 10 men.
It was Cooper who was shown a red card for a high challenge on Gabriel Jesus just before the break. And that left Leeds needing to produce a masterful defensive display to go on and win the game.
Llorente was central to that performance. But there were also colossal displays from Pascal Struijk and Robin Koch, who both came on after Cooper had been dismissed.
So it was no surprise that the club captain was amongst those to laud the Spaniard as he took to social media to comment on the amazing win…

Llorente has been superb during this run in the side. It had appeared that he was in danger of being written off earlier this season after a torrid start to life with Leeds.
But he is arguably rivalling Stuart Dallas for being Leeds’ best player in recent weeks.
