Liam Cooper raves about £11m Leeds man’s work rate behind the scenes
that no other player works harder behind the scenes than winger Jack Harrison, after the on-loan Manchester City star scored one and created the other in a 2-1 win over Sheffield United.
Harrison, 24, scored his seventh league goal of the season to put Leeds 1-0 up over Paul Heckingbottom’s side – tapping home after a brilliant run from Raphinha, with Tyler Roberts also involved. Wales ace Roberts was involved in the second, too.
His long ball was expertly controlled by ex-New York City star Harrison and his pinpoint cross was turned into his own net by Phil Jagielka – with Raphinha waiting to tap home. Both goals came either side of Ben Osborn’s equaliser for the Blades.
The win saw Leeds climb to 42 points from 30 matches – level with tenth-placed Arsenal and it appears the aim is now to finish in the top half. Cooper raved about Harrison, with the latter experiencing a dip in form recently and even being dropped.
“Jack has been a different class,” He went through a bit of a rough patch, but he’s got his head down and he works hard, nobody works harder than him at the training ground. I’m delighted for him today, he deserves that.”

TBR’s view – Leeds really need to just get Harrison’s deal done
It is widely expected that Harrison will join Leeds in the summer and some reports have even claimed something is already in place. that an £11million agreement is to be confirmed in the summer for the ex-England Under-21 star.
Now in his third season on loan at Leeds, Harrison has clocked up an enormous 121 appearances without being a permanent Leeds player – having a hand in 34 goals during that time, scoring 17 and creating 17.
12 of those goal involvements have now come in the Premier League, with Harrison likely not to be given an assist for Jagielka’s own goal. An excellent achievement – and should such form continue – a place in the England side might not be far away.
