Leicester’s recruitment team really like £15m Tottenham player

Journalist Alasdair Gold has suggested that the Leicester City recruitment team are really big admirers of one Tottenham Hotspur player in this summer transfer window.

Leicester are preparing for their return to the Premier League after clinching the Championship title la⛦st season, but the Foxes’ preparations have not been helped by Enzo Maresca deciding to leave to take over at Chelsea.

Signing Harry Winks from Tottenham proved to be an inspired move as they secured promotion at the first time of asking. And it seems that the Foxes may be hoping to replica♊te that move during this summer transfer window.

Joe Rodon‘s stock has risen considerably over the last 12 months, with the Spurs centre-back enjoying an outstanding loan spell 🌜at Leeds, becoming a real fan favouritꦡe at Elland Road.

Leicester recruitment staff really like Joe Rodon

Leeds would like to bring Rodon back, but missing out on promotion has done their hopes absolutely no favours, with the three teams going up🥀 wanting to secure his signature.

And speaking on the , Gold suggested that those working behind the scenes at the King Power Stadium a💃re very keen on bringing the Welshman in.

“All three promoted clubs are interested in him: Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton. Leicester, as we said earlier, don’t have aജ manager at this moment in time, however, their recruitment team really like him, and if it was [Graham] Potter to come in, Potter worked w🐼ith him at Swansea before, so I would imagine he would be pretty happy with that as a potential purchase as well,” he said.

Tottenham vindicated for decision on centre-back last summer

Tottenham have definitely been vindicated for deciding to loan Rodon out last summer, as, for a while, it appeared that they were going to really st💛ruggle to make their money back on their signing.

Rodon was one of the best centre-backs in the Championship last year, and he will be desperate to prove himself at the highest level after s🥂truggling forܫ minutes since his move to Tottenham.

Spurs will hope that a bidding 𝓀war could start up, while Leeds will know that they have their work cut out if they hope to win the race – and that could pꦫerhaps tempt the Whites to make a big bid from the outset. So they can potentially now expect to even make a profit on the defender.

But Leicester were champions less 🍰than a decade ago, and have played in the Champions League, so there is potential for the Foxes to quickly reestablish themselves at the highest level.

So if they ♔do make a ser🦩ious move for Rodon, perhaps he will find it difficult to head elsewhere.
