‘Legend’: Neymar absolutely blown away by Tottenham Hotspur player
Tottenham Hotspur and South Korea star Son Heung-min has taken to Instagram with a heartfelt in wake of his nation’s World Cup exit.
And plenty of peers, including Brazil ace Neymar, praised the Spurs and Taeguk Warriors icon for his words.
Son captained South Korea to the last 16 of the World Cup, helping his nation qualify from Group H in dramatic fashion.

Last Friday, South Korea were heading for a draw with Portugal in their final group game.
This would’ve seen them go out, but Son then played a key role in helping his nation net a late winner.
The 30-year-old provided the assist for Hwang Hee-chan to slot home from inside the box in injury time.
South Korea then faced Brazil in the last 16 on Monday, with Neymar’s nation running out 4-1 winners.
A sad end to Son’s participation in the competition, albeit against one of the favourites to lift the World Cup.

‘Absolutely no regrets’
And on Instagram, the Spurs ace shared an emotional expressing his pride in his country and team.
‘Hello, this is Heung-min Son, the representative of Korea for the Qatar World Cup,” he began.
“I am writing this to thank you for all your support, support, and interest.
“During four years, I have tried many things and ran forward towards my dream.
“Not every time there were good moments, but I think those bad moments made us stronger and made the national team we are.
“We were able to overcome every moment with your constant support from behind!
“Our players worked so hard where they couldn’t be seen, and I thought it was an honor to be part of the South Korea team, and my body was broken.
“I believed that we could definitely go higher, there were regrets but absolutely no regrets.
“I believe that the unforgettable World Cup was created because all the players and staff, including me, tried every second of every day.
“In addition, as a Korean citizen before becoming a football player, I was able to feel once again how happy I am.
“I really appreciate all the love you guys have sent.
“From now on, I will do my best to make Korea brighter, not only myself, but also the Korean football team.
“I love and thank you Korea (I feel like the 1% chance is really high. Thank you for allowing me to stand here).”
And in response, plenty of fans and peers hailed Son and wished him well, with Neymar calling him a “legend”.

Son really is one of the nicest people in football and it’s great to see so many praise him for his emotional, heartfelt post.
He has also been an incredible player for Tottenham and South Korea, in terms of goals, work-rate and attitude.
