Leeds’s Tyler Roberts reacts on Twitter after returning to Elland Road
Tyler Roberts has sent a message on Twitter after making his first appearance at Elland Road since returning from injury as he featured for Leeds United’s under-23s on Monday night.
Roberts is yet to play for Marcelo Bielsa’s side this season. He sustained an injury towards the end of the last campaign and has been missing since.

He recently made his return to action in the under-23s’ goalless draw with Crystal Palace. And he stepped up his comeback on Monday as he came off the bench at half-time of the Whites’s clash with Watford.
The score was 3-0 at the break. And Roberts needed just two minutes to add his name to the scoresheet as he converted Leeds’s second penalty of the evening as they went on to win 6-0.

With another 45 minutes under his belt, the forward appears to be edging closer to being ready to return to first-team action. And after the game, he took to Twitter to reflect on the win…
Great feeling being back on Elland Road????

Roberts may now be available to Bielsa, but getting back into the starting lineup is not going to be an easy task. Leeds are top of the Championship, and their attacking players are all performing extremely well.
The 20-year-old was an unused substitute at Barnsley at the weekend. He would have been looking on as Helder Costa and Eddie Nketiah were brought off the bench to change the game and ensure that Leeds secured the three points.
Roberts is certainly going to have a role to play in the first-team this season. But with many of his teammates in great form right now, he may have to be patient and use his under-23 game-time to prove a real point.
