Leeds United should want Ivan Cavaleiro but not at £12 million
It is being reported this week that Wolverhampton Wanderers could be ready to sell Ivan Cavaleiro this summer. that Wolves are ready to sell the Portuguese attacker for a fee in the region of £12 million.
So should Leeds United revisit their previously reported interest in the player?
Back in January, it was reported that Cavaleiro was on Leeds United’s radar. that Marcelo Bielsa was keen on bringing him to Elland Road on loan. However, attention soon focused in on Daniel James, a transfer that fell through.

Leeds now clearly have the opportunity to sign Cavaleiro should they wish. So should they?
The only reason that would prevent this deal has to be the price-tag. At £12 million, he would cost the majority of Leeds United’s transfer budget for the summer.
However, he would be an excellent addition to the team. Leeds need attacking reinforcements and Cavaleiro has tasted Championship promotion in the past.
Leeds would undoubtedly want to bring in Cavaleiro if it was a loan deal or even for a fee significantly less than the £12 million being mentioned. But at that price, Leeds might have to avoid this arrival.
