Leeds United should make Ollie Watkins their summer transfer priority
Leeds United look to be back on track after a small blip and have now won four of their last five Championship fixtures.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men have a five-point gap on Fulham in third and will hope to get the job done this year in terms of promotion.
The Whites will already have one eye on next season and players will start to be identified as potential signings for the summer.

If they do get promoted a new striker will almost certainly be required. Patrick Bamford has scored 12 goals but there are doubts over whether he could cut it at Premier League level.
Ollie Watkins is set to be subject of interest in the summer and as soon as promotion is secured, Leeds should get the wheels moving on a deal.
The 24-year-old is under contract until 2023 but if the Whites go up and Brentford don’t, he will surely be affordable to Leeds.
One real beauty of Watkins is his versatility, with Thomas Frank comparing him to Cristiano Ronaldo earlier this season.
The Brentford boss told the “It’s a big comparison but I’ve mentioned it.
“He’s like a Ronaldo-type, that he can play as a nine or he can play to the side, or he can play as a 10.
“Because he’s so versatile he has abilities you can benefit off in all positions.”

Leeds boss Bielsa likes his players to be athletic and Watkins certainly fits that energetic style.
His 22 goals this season have come playing largely as a centre forward and he’d offer more than Bamford in the way of quality.
Signing him won’t be easy with other clubs likely to emerge as potential suitors.
If Leeds do go up, however, they should make Watkins their number one priority for the summer.
