Leeds United round-up: Phillips wants title, Edmondson hoping for chance, Wilks comments

Kalvin Phillips believes that Leeds United will bounce back from defeat to Blackburn Rovers this week against Ipswich Town –

The midfielder says that ‘morale is great’ in the camp and vowed that Leeds will be working hard to get the win on Wednesday night.

He also made it clear that his team’s goal for the season was to ‘win the Championship’.

Edmondson hopeful

Leeds United youngster Ryan Edmondson is hoping to prove he is worthy of a place in the first-team.

, he made it clear he was hoping he could attract Marcelo Bielsa’s interest with goals.

The 17-year-old recently scored a hat-trick against Barnsley for the Leeds under-23s and hopes Bielsa’s decision to blood some youngsters will pay off with his own permanent promotion.

Wilks complacency

Leeds United loanee Mallik Wilks has admitted he was ‘buzzing’ to get back on the scoresheet for Doncaster Rovers this week.

The 19-year-old had recently been left out by manager Grant McCann after a dip in form.

But and feels he did it by training hard and scoring in the 3-3 draw with Gillingham.

The teenager is on loan at the Keepmoat Stadium until January.
