Leeds United round-up: Alioski confusion, James wanted and Ekuban not wanted

Alioski confusion

Following on from Pontus Jansson’s withdrawal from the Sweden squad another player looked like he was returning from international duty early. Ezgjan Alioski was reportedly pulled out of Macedonia action with an injury.

However, , only Jansson is back at Thorp Arch and being assessed.

Alioski is, in fact, unscathed and is expected to feature for his nation against Liechtenstein and Gibraltar.

Leeds fans will be pleased they do not have another injury on their hands and will hope Jansson’s problem is not severe.

James wanted

Leeds United want to sign Swansea City talent Daniel James, according to reports. the four-assist winger is wanted by Leeds in January.

James has been in fine form this season but is out of contract in the summer, leaving him open to transfer approaches from rival clubs.

The Welsh international was born in Yorkshire and Leeds are hopeful of bringing him home.

Ekuban not wanted

Trabzonspor currently have no interest in signing Caleb Ekuban permanently. According to the Turkish side have not been impressed by the striker.

Ekuban, who scored v Galatasaray on debut, has barely featured for the club. The club will give him until the end of the season to see if they will trigger a €200,000 (£174,000) clause to sign him permanently.
