Leeds United round-up: Caulker shock target, Norwood no-go and Mbakogu released

Caulker wanted

Leeds United are reportedly interested in a move for Dundee defender Steven Caulker. Leeds are lining up a £1.5 million bid for the 26-year-old.

The centre-back, who has one cap for England, has turned his career around in Scotland after suffering personal demons whilst at former club QPR.

Now Leeds are ready to offer him a route back into English football and the Championship.

No to Norwood

Despite links and plenty of money going on Oliver Norwood to Leeds, it appears there is no credence to the rumours.

The Brighton player has been linked with a move to Leeds this week, with it clear he has no part to play at the Amex Arena this season.

But the YEP have confirmed that there is currently no interest in signing Norwood,

Jerry released

Long-term Leeds United transfer target Jerry Mbakogu is now a free agent. It seemed as though Leeds were set to sign the Italian striker this summer from Carpi, for a fee in the region of £3 million.

However, the West Yorkshire side pulled the plug on the deal. He has now been released by mutual consent in order to find a new club.
