Report: Leeds hope to finally wrap up deal for player Marsch says ‘does all the things that we like’
Leeds United are hoping to wrap up a summer deal for Brenden Aaronson, according to the .
The 21-year-old playmaker was linked with the Elland Road outfit during the January transfer window.
Although Leeds weren’t able to get a deal over the line then, speculation has persisted over the past few months.

reported towards the end of last month that Leeds plan to make a bid for Aaronson this summer.
And according to , Jesse Marsch has told club owner Andrea Radrizzani to sign the RB Salzburg ace in summer.
The latest report in the Daily Mail spoke of Leeds apparently joining the race for Hoffenheim’s Florian Grillitsch.
But despite their apparent interest in the soon-to-be free agent, the Whites are now reportedly also hoping to get the Aaronson deal over the line.
The ace has been a key player for the Austrian side this season.
He has made appearances in all competitions under Matthias Jaissle.
Aaronson has helped Salzburg edge closer to their ninth consecutive league title and reach the Champions League knockouts.
“A lot of creative work”
After joining Salzburg, he told their that Steven Gerrard was his role model growing up.
He also said he joined the club as they play “fast, direct and attacking football”, which he loves.
When it came to his style of football, Aaron said he’s about “a lot of creative work.
“I work hard, I’m aggressive, I like to pick holes in defences and provide assists.”
Aaronson has also worked with Marsch before.
Marsch was the head coach of RB Salzburg at the time that the Austrian club signed Aaronson from Philadelphia Union
The 49-year-old : “He’s gotten better and better each game. I think he understands our philosophy of football.
“He’s very aggressive, he runs all day, he’s clever on the ball. He does all the things that we like in a player.”
